Why Ayurveda?

A thousands-of-year old medical system with its origin in India, Ayurveda (I-yur-ved-a) is translated from Sanskrit as Ayu’ - life and ‘veda’ - knowledge, ‘the knowledge of life’. This ancient science works individualistically and holistically to treat each person as they are.

Ayurveda emphasizes the importance of prevention and encourages daily maintenance of our own health through close attention to balance. Ayurveda views the way we think, the food we eat, the books we read, our lifestyle and the herbs we ingest as preventative and lasting medicine.

We are all different, so our diet, exercise, and lifestyle routines should be individualized for each of our changing needs.

I use Ayurvedic inquiry to assess each individual. First and foremost, I look to uncover the root cause of the present state of imbalance appearing.

I share the wisdom and insight Ayurveda has to offer each of us with the intention to empower individuals to find their own balance of body, mind and consciousness.

Initial Consultation // 75-minute 

In this initial consultation we will cover your personal and family health history, your current concerns, your short and long term health and healing goals. We will build a program to introduce dietary and lifestyle changes that will move you toward your goals. 

You will leave your first consultation with recommendations specific for you to integrate into your routine for two to four weeks. Recommendations include lifestyle tools, breathing and meditation techniques, exercise, recipes, simple herbal remedies, recommendations for foods, teas and more. In addition, we will schedule a 30 minute follow up on completion of the initial meeting.

A detailed document with your recommendations will be sent by email within 24-48 hours of each consultation.

RATES:

75 minute Initial in person or by Zoom // $150

30-40 minute follow ups by phone or Zoom // $40
